Client Accounts

A selection of accounts from owners who have brought watches to us — ranging from routine assessments to more detailed restoration work.

PR

Pattarapong R.

Bangkok, Thailand

"I brought in a 1970s Omega Constellation that had been sitting unworn for several years. Krit was upfront that it needed a full service but also clear about what that would involve and cost before anything began. The written report when I collected it was more detailed than I expected — it explained exactly what had been replaced and why, with before and after timing figures. The watch now runs well within normal tolerances. A genuinely thoughtful service."

Assessment & Movement Repair — May 2025

SM

Siriporn M.

Chiang Mai, Thailand

"My grandfather's Patek had been in a drawer for a long time. I was nervous about having anyone work on it. The initial assessment was done without pressure — Krit looked at it and gave me an honest account of its condition, with no suggestion that more needed doing than actually did. The restoration work took about two months, which was what he said it would take. I particularly appreciated that he consulted me before touching the case finish."

Restoration & Heritage Care — April 2025

David H.

Chiang Mai (British expat)

"Came in for a routine assessment on my IWC Pilot — it was running a few seconds fast each day. The service identified worn pallet stones and got it regulated properly. The turnaround was about ten days, which was within the estimate. Communication in English throughout, which I appreciated as a non-Thai speaker. The written documentation was clear and well-presented. A professional experience overall."

Assessment & Routine Care — May 2025

Nittaya P.

Chiang Rai, Thailand

"I drove down from Chiang Rai specifically because I couldn't find anyone locally I was confident entrusting a 1960s Rolex Datejust to. Worth the journey. Krit was straightforward about what the movement needed and what the case could and couldn't have done to it without affecting value. He was also honest that one part would take three weeks to source, which he said from the start — no surprises later."

Movement Repair & Tuning — April 2025

Thomas W.

Germany (visiting Chiang Mai)

"Left my Lange 1 here while travelling — the crown had become stiff and water resistance was clearly compromised. The work was done within two weeks and the watch was ready before I left Chiang Mai. Seal renewal and a careful look at the crown mechanism. The report was thorough. My only observation is that the workshop is appointment-only, so be prepared to plan ahead if you're visiting briefly."

Anchalee K.

Bangkok, Thailand

"I had an assessment done on a JLC Reverso I'd bought second-hand. I wanted to know what condition it was genuinely in before deciding whether to wear it daily or keep it as a collection piece. The assessment report was clear and well-reasoned — Krit recommended a full service at some point but noted it was still running within acceptable tolerances and I wasn't obliged to proceed now. That kind of straightforwardness is not always easy to find."

Case Studies

Two Watches, Two Journeys

These are two recent engagements described in a little more depth — not to promote, but to give a realistic sense of what working with us involves.

Case Study 01 — Vintage Restoration

A 1967 Omega Seamaster with an Unknown Service History

The Situation

The watch had been purchased at auction in Europe and arrived with no service documentation. It was running, but losing around 90 seconds per day and the crown felt dry. The case had some patina the owner wanted preserved, not polished away.

What We Did

Full assessment first. Movement fully disassembled, cleaned, and inspected. The mainspring was replaced (original was fatigued), the pallet fork jewels relubricated, and the balance regulated. The crown tube and seals were renewed. The case was cleaned gently only — no buffing, no polishing of any surfaces.

The Outcome

Post-service rate: +4 seconds per day in dial-up position, within the movement's manufacturer specification. Water resistance restored to 30m. Case patina preserved intact. A full service document was provided, starting the watch's formal service history. The owner chose to continue wearing it daily.

"I'm glad I didn't just take it to a general repair shop. The care taken with the case finish alone justified the trip to Chiang Mai." — Owner, Bangkok

Case Study 02 — Movement Repair

A Modern IWC Portugieser Stopping Intermittently

The Situation

The watch was stopping when wound down to the last quarter of power reserve, suggesting a problem in the gear train or a worn mainspring. The owner had had it serviced at a service centre two years prior and was concerned something had been missed.

What We Did

Full movement assessment identified a worn second wheel pivot. The wheel was replaced with a correct IWC component sourced from a Swiss parts supplier. The full movement was cleaned and reassembled with fresh lubricants. The owner was informed and approved the part cost before sourcing began.

The Outcome

No further stopping across a two-week test period. Rate consistent at -2 to +3 seconds per day across all positions. Total time at the workshop: 18 working days including parts delivery. The owner received the part documentation along with the service report.

"The transparency about the parts cost upfront meant there were no awkward conversations at collection. Everything was exactly as agreed." — Owner, Chiang Mai
